Developing Innovative Ideas For New Companies Spring 2014

For those of you with an entrepreneur mindset, one of the best entrepreneurial courses is opening again soon called Developing Innovative Ideas for New Companies, by James V. Green.

I tried to take this course last year, but found the workload to be too much when added to the other courses I was taking, my personal life, and my work life. So unfortunately I didn’t get very far into it.

It seems this year, the course has changed a bit.

  • All of the modules are available immediately, so you can take the course at a breakneck speed if you wish, or jump around between modules
  • The peer reviewed assignments have been removed, since they can’t control when people are taking each module any more
  • Over 10 hours of new content has been added

Given that this is the sixth time this course has been offered, I think the professor and Coursera are iterating each time to improve the course. If you one day want to run a startup, and love the idea of developing new ideas, this course might be for you.
