Five Minute Monday – How the Heart Pumps Blood

Monday again, and that means it’s time for another short enlightening video.

This video is a bit more science-y that the usual. It talks about how the heart actually works. Not just on a superficial level, but how this complex organ pumps blood throughout your body, and gets oxygen from the lungs. It’s a dual-function organ. It also is designed to work with blood, but does not work with water.

For some reason, no one has really explained the heart at this level of detail before, unless you’re a trained doctor or nurse I presume. But for just over 4 minutes, it may be worth spending time learning how this important body part works.
