This week’s Five Minute Monday is a bit longer than five minutes’ worth – nine minutes to be exact. But it’s a famous 1977 video produced by the Eames Office of IBM that shows the scale of the Universe. It starts by zooming out, by one order of magnitude per second, until we get the the outer limits of the universe. And then quickly zooms back in to get down to the atomic level.
Of course, science has come a way since then – particularly atomic science as we smash atoms open and discover quarks and bosons. But the scale is the same.
Well worth the 9 minutes, I would say.
