Today’s Five Minute Monday post highlights an important health issue: all the various names that sugar hides behind.
It’s easy to avoid adding sugar to your coffee, and pass on that chocolate cake that Cindy is passing around the office. But when you’re eating that spaghetti dinner, are you thinking about all of the sugar inside it? I’m not talking about the carbohydrates of the pasta. I’m taking about the sweeteners added to the tomato sauce, to turn regular tomato paste into “spaghetti sauce”.
This short 4-minute video is a reminder that sugar is (almost) everywhere, and we need to understand all the ways it enters our system.
