I don’t know why I’m drawn to these health videos for Five Minute Monday. I really don’t. But after talking about sugar last week, this week’s video explains what saturated fat, unsaturated fat, and trans fats are. It explains pretty clearly why Olive Oil, which is 100% fat, is actually better for you than pancake mix (which is only about 11% fat). Just focusing on the percentage of fat (and just looking for the label “low fat”) is not enough to really understand what’s going on.
