The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania made a big splash last year when they announced that four of the core courses for their famous MBA program would be offered online.
- An Introduction to Operations Management
- An Introduction to Marketing
- An Introduction to Corporate Finance
- An Introduction to Financial Accounting
Some misinterpreted this as the first step to earning a Wharton MBA online, while others were upset that the certificate of completion did not mention the letters MBA.
Well, the Introduction to Operations Management course is set to start in September. (The other courses are to follow in the next weeks and months.)
The course syllabus says this:
This course will teach you how to analyze and improve business processes, be it in services or in manufacturing. You will learn how to improve productivity, how to provide more choice to customers, how to reduce response times, and how to improve quality.
If that sounds useful to you, I certainly enjoyed the Wharton Marketing course, and so am confident the same good production quality was put into this one. Sign up now, available for free on Coursera.
